Report a Missed Collection

If we did not pick up your bin before 6pm on your collection day, you can report a missed bin collection. Please check the below reasons why your bin may not have been collected before submitting a missed collection form:

  • Bin not out on time, bins need to be out the night before collection day as the trucks can come at different times. A fee may be imposed to return to collect a bin if it was found to not be out on time.
  • Contamination – bin tags indicate items in your bin that do not belong and must be removed - a fee may be charged to return to collect the bin
  • Too heavy – bins may be tagged if they exceed the maximum safe weight for trucks to empty
  • Obstruction – bins may not be collected if they are not accessible for pickup
  • Wrong collection day – you can check your bin collection days here
  • Over full – bins may not be collected if the lid is not closed due to over-filling, or due to animal incursion.
  • Non-Council bin – only Council-issued bins with a Council logo will be serviced. If you have a non-Council bin please contact 1300 735 025.

What do I do if I have a sticker on my bin?

  1. Remove contamination, and the bin will be collected on the next scheduled collection day.
  2. Reduce the amount of waste in over-full or excessively heavy bins
  3. Relocate obstructed bins to allow easy access for collection

Advise Council on 1300 735 025 if you have rectified the problem and wish to arrange collection before the next scheduled bin day.

A fee may be imposed for trucks returning to an address for collection where the above reasons are noted.

If none of the above reasons apply to your missed collection, you can report a missed collection by clicking the below link.
