Report a Damaged Bin
All bins remain the property of Council, however you do have a responsibility to look after them. We ask that you:
- Bring your bins in as soon as possible after collection
- Store your bins securely when not out for collection
- Do not put hazardous or flammable items, liquids or materials in your bins, this is known to cause fires in bins and collection trucks
There are fees for replacement or repair of bins which are stolen or damaged due to neglect.
If your bin is damaged or worn through normal use, Council will repair or replace it free of charge at Council’s discretion.
You may mark your house number and street name on the bins. If the property is later sold or tenanted, the bins remain on the property.
After reporting your damaged bin, leave it on the verge. Contractors will not enter a property to locate bins for replacement or repair. Allow 3 working days for this request to be actioned.
