We want your feedback on proposed changes to waste services across the QPRC region.
At its Ordinary Meeting on 9 September 2026, Council endorsed a proposal for public exhibition that would improve the current waste voucher system and discontinue the remaining Rural Recycling Stations (RRS) across the region.
The waste voucher system was introduced on a trial basis in 2025 to help rural residents access waste disposal services and encourage use of Council's Waste App. Feedback received during the trial has generally been positive, and Council is now considering changes to make the system more equitable and better aligned with community needs.
